Just your non-average Sunday afternoon
As some of you random readers may already know, I’m a bit of a hermit. I like to do my own thing, in my own space, on my own time, ad nauseum. However, on the rare occasion that I DO leave the confines of my own selfishness, I always have a blast. People? Not so bad. Who would have guessed?
Today, I went to the Garden Cafe for Sunday brunch with two awesome ladies. This place is unreal — everything is super fresh and all of the vegetables/herbs are grown in the garden out back.

We ordered like vikings preparing for battle… then were told it would take about an hour for our food to be ready, so we grabbed our coffee, set up camp on a picnic table in the garden, and enjoyed the cusp of June.
People do this, it seems, on a regular basis. Going to lunch with friends is something that normal people do. However, when I do it, it’s a special occasion, and I treat it as such by taking pictures like an Asian on vacation and wondering to myself why I’m such an antisocial freak.

Then our breakFEAST came, and the talking slowed to compensate for the chewing, and it was delicious and delightful and everything that a Sunday brunch should be.

I ordered the omelette with toast, hashbrowns and coffee (natch), and we all shared the crack sweet potato pancakes. I HIGHLY recommend the ‘cakes, but be forewarned, those with sensitive taste buds are likely to form an immediate and profound addiction. So order with caution.
Anyhoodles, it was fun. That about sums it up, folks. Tune in next time, for the next episode of, “Jessica’s magnificent adventures in doing things normal people do every day, and living to blog about it!”
